Wan Animate — transfer motion onto a character
Take the movement from one video and put it on a still character.
Try Wan 2.2 AnimateWhat is Wan 2.2 Animate?
Wan 2.2 Animate does one thing: it transfers motion from a reference video onto a character image. Supply a video of the movement you want and a still of the character who should perform it, and the model produces a clip of that character following that motion. It is not a general image-to-video model — without a reference motion video it has nothing to work from, so use Wan 2.7 for ordinary animation.

Frequently asked questions
- What does Wan Animate need as input?
- Exactly two things: one character image and one reference motion video. Both are required — this is a motion-transfer model, not a general image-to-video model.
- Can I use Wan Animate for ordinary image-to-video?
- No. Without a reference motion video there is nothing to transfer. Use Wan 2.7 or Kling for that.
